• Everest Base Camp Trekking

Great experience with the company during this expedition. We are well looked after by the guide and assistant. They offer help to carry our backpack when we are sick and no energy, meal and drink was well serve by them. They are passionate about thier job and willing to interact with us even if we have language barrier sometimes. Definitely will go back to them if I going back for another trek in Nepal.

  • Trekking in Nepal? Look no further!

This is my second time travelling with Annapurna Foothills Treks. The first time was in 2014, when I climbed Mera and Island Peaks with them and I had a superb time and experience. In fact, they were so good that when it was time to bring a larger group to Nepal for their first experience, the choice was obvious.I contacted Ngima again to organise a trek to Everest Base Camp. As expected, communication with Ngima was easy. He was very responsive and always willing to discuss details and options to ensure that the trip is well organised for the group. In typical Nepali hospitality, we were met at the airport with a garland of marigold. The hotel choice in Kathmandu was splendid, being both comfortable and convenient. For the trek specifically, it was clear that the team of guides were there to ensure that the team was safe and well looked after. Tashi, Ngima, Mingmar and Dawa were an excellent team. They provided guidance on the trail, an extra pair of hands when team members got tired, organised the rooms when we arrived at our next village and always having a cheerful smile making it them great company on the trails. No trek is complete without minor hiccups and setbacks, but Tashi and his team managed these with professionalism and did their best considering the circumstances. We were a group of 13 trekkers. Such a big group did present logistical challenges but it was with their support that all 13 trekkers successfully achieved their goal of reaching Everest Base Camp.Thank you to the fantastic team at Annapurna Foothills Treks. From Ngima and his wife, and the trekking guide team of Tashi, Ngima, Mingmar and Dawa. My next trip and trek in Nepal will definitely be by them.AdrianEBC 2018 Team from Singapore

  • Outstanding Support for a 3 Passes Trek and Climb of Lobuche East

I recently completed a month-long trip in Nepal joining a group of 8 friends for most of the 3 Passes Trek and breaking away myself for a day to climb Lobuche East. I had been to Nepal twice before including the autumn of 1982 and and spring of 2005 hiking and climbing in the Khumbu region so I had a good idea of what to expect from this trip. I had high expectations of AFT&E based on the positive experiences of several friends and the positive online reviews.AFT&E far exceeded my high expectations - it is a truly great Nepali company with outstanding staff!! I was impressed as the early planning began in January and continued through the year with the clear and timely communications from Ngima and others at AFT&E addressing various details concerning our 3 Passes Trek and my climb of Lobuche East. Then I was even more impressed during our time in Nepal. We were a group of 8 friends and Ngima, Tashi et al. treated us all like their friends from the day they picked us up at the Kathmandu airport, while we were in Kathmandu, during our 18 days of trekking, until the day they dropped us off at the Kathmandu airport 25 days later. They all clearly wanted us to have an outstanding experience and they took care of so many details - from handling small requests to dealing with serious health issues - and they efficiently and effectively worked everything to a positive outcome. They were always smiling, cheerful and sincerely happy to help us out. AFT&E made my trip one of the most memorable I have had during many decades of adventure travel, including scores of trips I have taken for boating, hiking and climbing to more than 30 countries.I will return to Nepal again soon and will definitely work with AFT&E.Ngima, Tashi and others there are outstanding people and AFT&E is a great company!

  • Everest Base Camp Trekking

Very well organised trip, starting from Kathmandu accommodation, delayed flight to Lukla substituted with helicopter, quality accommodation in Tea Houses, reliable guidence throughout the trip and farewell lunch with GM. You can not go wrong with this company.

  • A wonderful and memorable trip, amazing job by Annapurna Foothills

Annapurna Foothills did an amazing job on our Three High Passes Trek. Our three guides (for eight trekkers) attended to every detail and in addition were always fun and friendly to be with. We (Sylvia & Roger) were much slower than the others, but Mingmar patiently encouraged us up and over the high passes until we arrived (sometimes after dark) at our destination. We confess that we two did the "lite" version of the trek---we both did just the Renjo and Cho La passes---skipping the third pass. Roger did the hike to Kala Patthar and most of the climb to Gokyo Ri, Sylvia skipped those, and both us skipped Everest Base Camp. (Roger & Sylvia had done Gokyo Ri before, and it's definitely worth the short climb, unless you are wiped out by Cho La Pass.) The trek was still challenging, breathtakingly beautiful and fun. We were definitely tired at the end. Tashi (the lead guide) and Ngima (Annapurna Foothills manager) handled everything with amazing skill and good nature. They accommodated us doing a lesser ordeal. Another thing: When our suitcase, with most of our trekking gear, did not arrive in Nepal till after we had started the trek, Ngima picked it up at the Kathmandu Airport, put it on a helicopter to Lukla, and arranged for a porter to carry it up to Phakding for us. This was going far beyond the call of duty and was just an example of the wonderful service we received. Thanks to all for the great memories. We’ll be back (though perhaps for a somewhat less ambitious trek).

  • Three High Pass Trek in the Khumbu region of Nepal

My husband and I along with 6 friends did this trek. Annapurna Foothill trekking company arranged the trek for us. We had three guides and 5 porters. There were three very distinct hiking speeds in our group which required more logistics than most trekking groups I am sure. We also had a delay in our luggage which had to be managed by the company. We also had 2 members who had to leave early for health reasons. We had one member who also climbed a trekking peak.I was impressed at how our head guide handled all of these events and problems without interfering with the progress of our trek. Those of us who could manage the three passes were able to and those who couldn’t were also taken care of well. It was generally a very beautiful and challenging trek. Annapurna Foothills trekking company did everything in its power to make this trek a success.
