• Around Manaslu Trek with Annapurna Foothills

Firstly, we have been to Nepal trekking over a period of 20 years having completed more than 15 treks, some more than once. As it is necessary to employ a guide on the Manaslu trek, we chose Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition company through the internet. They offered a very competitive price and their website was easy to navigate and from the outset, Ngima, was clear and flexible regarding arrangements. From the beginning to the end, the head of the company, Ngima, our guide, Dawa and porter, Pasang looked after us and every detail was taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a better team. In fact, they all went above and beyond what would have been expected of them.We have no reservations in recommending them most highly for their expertise, support and genuine care. We would definitely choose to go with them next time. The trek itself is a "Wow" if you are considering it!

  • Mera Peak Expedition

A friend and I successfully summited Mera Peak in Oct 2017 with the help of Annapurna Foothills Treks & Expedition. They are a great team, well organised, super friendly and very importantly; reliable. Should we try to summit another mountain in Nepal in the future, we will surely look for their services ones more.

  • Annapurna Trek: Every Detail, Every Aspect of Care, Every Follow Through was More Than Expected !!

The Annapurna Circuit was amazing! And, it was made amazing by the owner Ngima, our Guide Dawa, and our Porter Passang. This team was gave us amazing, care. Our accommodations were top notch based on what is available on this trek, and Dawa was incredibly generous with his care for us along the trail. Clearly, he was looked upon as the leader of guides by other guides we ran across on the trek. Each of the other guides looked up to him as the one who had the answers and advice on how to care for their clients. Dawa demonstrated humility as well as leadership in all he did. As we walked through villages, Dawa was always greeted by people who knew him, and I was immediately aware there was a relationship there. At all times we felt safe and also it was a space we could courageously find fulfilling adventure. Dawa took us through areas that were more remote, unique and special. He knew the routes that would challenge us and at the same time be rewarding. At the end of the day, he made sure we were comfortable, content and at peace.Dawa's laugh was infectious in a good way. Every time he spoke it would bring a smile to my face. He is authentic and genuine. He demonstrates this by how he speaks of his family and the love he has for them. This man is genuine, his character is authentic. I trust him.At the beginning and at the end, Ngima was always there to answer our questions, make sure we are in the right place at the right time and seamlessly transitioning from our home airport to our new place of stay in Kathmandu upon arrival. No detail was missed. He communicated with us before the trip with clear kindness and thoroughness. He pointed out details I could easily have missed. I never felt I was bothering him if I had a question to ask. He always answered within 12 hours (if there was a delay it was because of the time difference). We travelled at the beginning of October and I found I packed too much. Plan to wash your clothing you have on at the end of the day. It will dry the next day while you are wearing your second set of clothes. That would be my rule of thumb. The peak was the coldest day (Thorong Pass). You need layers and gloves for this day. Otherwise, a down jacket and long sleeves are enough for other days. Again, keep in mind, you clothing will dry by the end of the next day if you wash them each evening. Bring altitude sickness tablets. Take them! Just in case! Every day someone is not able to make it to the pass. Just humble yourself and take the tablets. You will enjoy the trip so much more and that's worth any side affects.Lose yourself. Don't set any expectations, just relax, let go and make the most of who you are and who you discover you really are. There is so much beauty to join and realize that's what you are there for. It's a very different world and it is a blessing to join it. Fall in love with the people and let them love you.

  • Island Peak Climbing

We booked our Island Peak Summit trip with Annapurna Foothills in October 2017. We met our guide in Chukhung and hiked up to Island Base Camp and then 1 days later further up to Island Peak. Our whole group consisting of 4 people made it on top of Island Peak. The trip was very well planned and organised. Everything went according to plan. Thank you again Ngima and Ngawa for this great experience. We'll come back for our 7000m challenge !!

  • Trekking Annapurna Trek

I can’t say enough good things about this company. They were very responsive and very attentive to my needs. Our guide, Dawa, was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this company as I met other folks that use other companies at work is happy. I would welcome the opportunity to talk to anyone in person it was considering doing the trek and using this company.

  • Outstanding Service -Above and beyond

We booked a short Annapurna view trek. Everything was seamlessly organised including all transfers, accommodation guide etc. We also added changes to our trip along the way (eg. mountain flight) and Ngima (owner/director) organised it all. This was the most enjoyable and stress free trip we have ever taken. We want to come back and we will definitely be booking through Annapurna Foothills Treks & Expeditions again. Their attention to detail and there total commitment to ensuring our trip is a great one is outstanding. They really did go above and beyond. I highly recommend using Annapurna Foothills Treks & Expeditions for your Nepal travels.

  • Annapurna Mini Circuit Trekking

Excellent well organised value for money trek with Annapurna Foothills.Very good pre-trek communication and information from Ngima and trip went smoothly from airport pick up to drop off . Big thank you to our guide Chitra who shared his immense knowledge of Nepal and the Annapurna's with us and made the trek extremely enjoyable and interesting.Fantastic scenery and sense of achievement at completing trek with no delays or health issues. Accommodation and food on the trip were as good if not better than it gets on a trek in the Himalayas and our guide always ensured that we were comfortable, happy and we somehow always seemed to get the best rooms wherever we stayed .Porters were always cheerful which made us feel slightly less guilty about them carrying our kit bags. Highly recommend Annapurna Foothills Treks if you want a well organised value for money trek with a personal touch.

  • Ghandruk Loop

My girlfriend and I recently returned from two amazing weeks in Nepal, and the highlight was this four-day trek arranged by Annapurna Foothills Treks. I can’t say enough about the company and the people who run it. No question went unanswered and no need went unaddressed, from the moment we first contacted them by email (on short notice, no less!) to the moment we returned stateside.Ngima, the founder-managing director, was an incredible help early on in selecting an itinerary that fit our abbreviated timeframe, and then remained readily accessible throughout. (His reliably prompt email responses were a needed salve to the anxiety that can accompany a big trip like this.) He and our guide, Dawa, also met us at our hotel once we arrived in Kathmandu to introduce themselves prior to the trek and answer any remaining questions in person—a particularly nice touch that put me at ease. (An even nicer one: Ngima and his wife had us over for dinner once we returned to the city!)Dawa was likewise incredible. He was knowledgeable (about the mountains, but also Nepali history and cultures), always considerate, unwaveringly cheerful, and genuinely nice. We had never hiked with a guide before this and, as two generally shy people, were a little unsure of what it would be like to spend so much time with a complete stranger—but those concerns quickly fell away after meeting Dawa. He struck the perfect balance between giving us our own space and yet still always looking out for our safety and comfort. Our time in the mountains would have gone considerably less smooth—and been significantly less fun—if we had gone it alone. The rates were more than fair (and there were no unexpected charges/etc at any point). The chosen accommodations were great. The food at the teahouses was delicious. The mountain scenery was stunning. And to top it all off, the transportation that was arranged for us—cars from Kathmandu to the start of the trek, from the end of it to Pokhara, and from Pokhara back to Kathmandu—was all top-notch. The roads in Nepal can be exciting to say the least, but all of the drivers were professional and safe, and their cars were clean, well maintained, and air-conditioned. We’ve been back for less than a week and we’re already talking about a return trip to do a longer trek. If we do, we will definitely go through Annapurna Foothills Treks again.
