Autumn 2017, Annapurna foothills Treks had organized a Baruntse Expedition (7129m) with Mr. Johannes Van Daalen from Netherland. So right now all the team members along with Mr. Johannes van Daalen are at Baruntse Base Camp (5300m). The Baruntse climbing trip starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trek leads through Sherpa settlements and Himalayan wilderness inspired by the views of Lhotse, Everest, and Makalu. Barunste stands in the middle of three glacial valleys: the Imja, the Hinku and the Barun.
Mr. Daalen had climbed Mera Peak which provides the full acclimatization that the team needs for Barunste Expedition. Mera Peak (6476m) which is highest permitted trekking peak in Nepal which he submitted successfully on 15th October, 2017. That shows that he is confident enough for Baruntse expedition. Moreover if everything remains perfect they are pushing up to Summit on 26th October, 2017. According to weather forecasting that day has a good and clear weather as compare to other days.
Therefore we want to wish them very Best of Luck for the successful summit. We know you all can do this. At the same time; all the family members, Friends and well wishers of Mr. Hans van Daalen please pray for his successful summit of Mount Baruntse.
The trek leads through the incredibly remote and beautiful Hinku Valley. This unspoiled area of the Everest region boasts of beautiful green terraced fields, dense forest, rushing streams, swinging bridges, and yak pastures with a backdrop of the highest mountains in the world. Sherpa guesthouses, high in the summer pastures, are a welcome place for weary trekkers.
